Engineer Artists Team Spotlight – Daniel Morales

We’re honored to highlight Daniel Morales, an Engineer Artists collaborator recognized for his precision and strong command of steel modeling and detailing.

This Sand Chute Support Structure project showcases Daniel’s technical expertise in coordinating structural steel with mechanical equipment that required exact positioning and fabrication accuracy. The structure was engineered to handle dynamic machine forces and seismic conditions, involving multiple bracings, moment connections, compound sections, plates, stiffeners, bolts, welds, and connection cuts. Gratings, railings, and stairs added further layers of coordination, requiring detailed collision checks to maintain fabrication efficiency.

Daniel’s strength lies in translating 2D drawings into detailed 3D environments that communicate clearly with fabricators and builders. His background in structural analysis allows him to understand both the overall behavior of the system and the technical details that keep a project solid and buildable.

Daniel’s contribution reflects the level of quality, focus, and dependability we value within the Engineer Artists network.
